The Cootie Harris Studio space is regularly used for adult and child arts education, wellness, and other community related activities. From child summer arts camps to tai chi, yoga and drawing and painting classes, there is always something to get you involved with your creative side.
Where the Heart Needs Art
The Art Studio is an after school art program that provides a creative outlet for the youth and their families of Crawford County, Pennsylvania. While at The Art Studio students will learn basic art skills while experimenting with a variety of art mediums. Students will learn about art, artist, art history, and themselves. While using the power of creativity students will improve on self-expression, confidence building, communication skills, working with other, independent skills, problem solving, patience for self and others, self-criticism, and most importantly the ability to imagine. Skills learned will follow the student into their homes and throughout their future endeavors.

Summer Arts Enrichment Camp
Summer Arts Enrichment Camp PICS
At least three weeks during the summer, MCA provides art camps to elementary and adolescent students. These camps directly engage students in various art media as well as help build their skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Students are exposed to famous artists along with different types of cultures from around the world. Camps have included drawing, painting, mosaics, collage, and weaving.
Dance & Movement
Tai Chi, taught to improve balance, flexibility, muscle tone, agility, and handling the stress of everyday life, is provided at every level and every age throughout the week. Advanced Tai Chi
Class meets Thursday and Sunday evenings from 7 to 8:30 PM
$40/month for MCA members, $45/month for non-members
$25/month for teachers (for on-going instruction)
MCA provides low-cost acting classes for students ages 10 and up. In these classes, improvisation script writing, voice, and movement techniques are taught. By learning the acting basics and using the theatre, students gain confidence as speakers and learn theatre as an art form. .
